Soy Garlic Butter 'Pathfinder' Mushrooms

THE MUSHROOMS

  • Preheat pan. Med - high heat.

  • Cut mushrooms lengthwise and then score the mushroom on each side making an x pattern.

  • Place them in the pan with nothing else and sear for 2 to 3 minutes on each side (Releasing excess moisture)

  • Remove mushrooms from the pan add real butter.

  • Dust the mushrooms with kosher salt and place back in the pan sear on each side, 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown or until desired crispiness.

  • Remove from pan and let rest while you make the sauce.


SAUCE

  • Reduce heat to medium-low.

  • Add 2 to 3 tbsp of butter.

  • Your desired amount of garlic, 1 to 2 cloves, and about a teaspoon or 2 of soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free.

  • Pour over top of mushrooms and enjoy.


Eat them on there own like a mushroom steak. Add to a salad. Make tacos or sammiches or your favourite buddah bowl.
